Those are the benefits that executives continue to receive after their death. The Wall Street Journal exposes the practice in an article today. If Comcast CEO Brian Roberts

re: 'Golden coffins' for executives

I know some people are astonished with what perks, salaries and bonuses C level executives get. I my self am astonished at what some of these guys are getting.

Having said that, we do live in a free market economy. The corporations can and should be allowed to spend their monies how they see fit, and what the shareholders agree to.

I don't think any of us working stiffs would tolerate, or appreciate someone from out of the blue mandating that we cannot buy this car, because it just costs too much. etc.

The position that alot of people are taking on all of this is very subjective. It is, IMO the ultimate level of ignorance and arrogance for anyone to say, Oh no Mr. CEO, you can't get paid that much.

But why says the CEO, 'cause I said so. Think about, why would anyone have the right to dictate to a company what the Max Cap level of pay is for their people, when the people that are mandating this have not a single solitary thing to do with the actual operation or business case of the business?

Not very logical if you ask me.

Every single person in a top position has got where they are because they, or someone in their family, has busted their ass for an entire lifetime to make the best possible life for themselves.

Michael J Dougherty said, "And if their familes had any conscience they would say enough. We have everything we could ever need". What exactly are these people suuposed to do Michael, just stop getting paid for doing their job? would you do your job for free?

And so many people are saying these corperations have no conscience, that is just BS. If you don't like it, then do something about it, don't just sit around and complain. And by do something about it, I mean invest in the companies, and get your share of the money, or start your own, it's not that hard.

I am 20 years old. I earn $72,000 a year as a chef, a great amount of money for someone whos friends are all still in college. I never went to college. I also have my own business, Prestige Footwear, selling sneakers online. And finally, im working on two different screenplays, which will be finished by the end of this year hopefully. I am poised to make a lot of money in my life. I learned early in life that if you want something you have to take it, no one will give it to you for free, and I've busted my ass my entire life to get where I am, just like these top exec's.

It makes me sick everyone hating these companies because they are successful. You, the American public, are the ones who made these companies rich. This story focuses on Brian Roberts, CEO of Comcast. How much do you think he would be worth if none of us ever had cable? and to say it is THEIR fault we pay so much for gas, thats wildly inaccurate, and just immature to say. The gas crisis is the fault of slacking Republican Leadership for 8 straight years. I've got nothing else to say, but take what I said seriously and think about it.

Damn insurance companies...Organized crime sanctioned by the Federal Government.

We have these CEO's who collect millions even if they don't perform. We get fired if we don't perform for a whole lot less...

That's why America is in the sad state we are in...

The people need to rise up and do something about this injustice.

Good luck with that!
