If this puts Starbucks into the higher profit range it's good for economy. We need more American out there to purchase, not to sit on their money. Who knows, Starbucks is the coffee lovers cup of tea and what's America all about in early morning hours; A good hot cup of coffee. Great idea!!!

To be honest starbucks drinks are not terribly expensive. no drink is 5$ even in a large size unless you load it with energy pumps of syrup or shots. As a partner I will say starbucks would make a lot more money if they had free wi fi

sounds like WAY too much trouble to get free internet..just let everyone get it like you can at say "Panera", no signing up for anything, no YOU HAVE TO SPEND SO MUCH EACH MONTH..just give something away thats easy AND free and maybe lower the prices a teensy bit.. :)

The idea is good, but the process is too much of a hassle. In Mexico, there is free, unlimited WiFi for customers in every Starbucks. Needless to say, their stores are always packed with students and other people with laptops. Yes, WiFi is much cheaper in Mexico, but if they offered that everywhere, they'd see immediate results.

Having Starbucks close is actually a blessing. We have a local coffee house that offers wireless whether you buy something or not.

Why would I jump through all these hoops when I can go to a locally-owned coffee shop and get wi-fi access instantly? The shop only asks that you buy something, and I can get a cup of coffee for a dollar there. It is useful if you don't have a choice I suppose.

Wi-Fi is much, much easier at Panera (in the same plaza with Starbucks, where I go for coffee, in Herndon, VA). At Panera, Wi-Fi is totally free with no time limit, no cards, no accounts to sign up to, and nothing to buy. Even better, Panera looks better, coffee is cheaper and tastes better!
