I am predicting that Google has a long term business model plan of implementing a virtual parallel universe via Android.

In my opinion Google’s open source Android software and the mobile phone is the foundation for the evolution of all facets of future lifestyles.

Part of Google’s strategy appears to be that the Android software will lead to new kinds of devices that have cellphone and wireless Internet functions, but have shapes and sizes different from today’s cellphones and PCs.... or (real life experiences occurring in the virtual parallel universe.)

Google's "open source" Android software shall provide users more opportunities to live vicariously through their mobile phones. In tracking the user's online actions, Google provides the 3D persona (avatar) detailed personality characteristics developed from the users real life online living experiences.

Google's open application sources and the mobile phone is defining who you are by e-psycho-analyzing your online activities. See language in patents filed by Google...

Shannon McPherson is a Bryn Mawr College student social activist that is campaigning for the use of ad-supported free mobile phone & Internet services to decrease the digital divide.

I don't think google has what it takes to deliver. It does not have any creativity like Apple, execution like Microsoft, or for that matter anything...Its lucky to get its search engine popular and should just stick to search ads. I have yet to see any thing creatie come out of Google

LOL I can see it now. Do you want to use the web browser? First, we will ram this 15 second NetFlix ad down your throat before you can. Just another place to bombard us with ads. Do I have to pay for service from my carrier to view ads now? I just want to call/text someone; I can use the laptop/wireless card to use a real browser like IE or FireFox on a FULL SCREEN! GTFO Google; your software is more like an invasion of my privacy.

"whatever google does - it makes the os free of viruses rather than the MS windows - so people love it." Your so stupid. Microsoft doesn't make the viruses and by the way, Apple has viruses now too, so does Linux, Unix, name it. If the hackers want, they will hack into it. It's made by people, it can be broke by people. Microsoft is picked on because of the market share. Just wait, you will see more and more viruses on the horizon for Apple.

I believe Google is trying to take over the world, and quite honestly, let them. I think they know what they are doing and they run their business on good solid values. So if they want to tackle the cell phone industry, I welcome them and give my support. These Telecom companies need a wake up call. They are too comfortable taking advantage of their customers because we now live in a wireless society and you can't live or do business without it anymore. They got you by the b***ls. Google, take me away....

Some people really needs a internet access so most of them use cell phones with full keyboard like Blackberries and Nokias e70 and some N series, others just to say that they have internet access which most of them uses regular cell phnes and now Iphones. I you got it, I´ll buy it.
