eBay is one more company gone GREEDY and BLIND to its mom and pop sellers that made what it is. I left eBay last year and refuse to sell or buy there after making over $8K in sales. Now Amazon, CDBaby.com and local used music merch stores get all my business. CEO of eBay needs to step down. eBay hit a 7-year low on its stocks in March 09. They can't blame the economy as competitors are doing much better overall than eBay. The company divorced its "faithful wife" of longtime sellers to chase the skirts of large-volume business sellers. And when you throw in the fact that PayPal is an e-commerce travesty set up to screw sellers, you can see why many have left . . .

Yes it did. And, the current boycott, which began May 1st is working. Look at ebay stock: less than $14 a share. Bad economy? Yeah, right. Why si Amazon doing so well?

I cancelled my account with EBay because of their dictating how I should pay for my purchases. I have a perfect record of fast payment through money orders and was being forced to use PayPal. This has to be an illegal policy.

we sell things on ebay and it is getting pretty bad as well 2000 dollars worth of product with ebay fees and paypal fees we only end up making 200 worth of profit as before we would make 600,as far as we know ebay is a scam with all of there hidden fees

As noted, this was not a one week boycott of ebay. It is now January 24, 2009 and the Ongoing Global ebay Boycott continues. As for those few person who "think" ebay is not being effected by the boycott, one only needs to review the downward trend of ebay's quarterly reports since ex-CEO, Whitman and current CEO, Donahoe, began implementing their "Disruptive Innovation" scheme against ebay users. ebay stock prices have plunged. Their 4th qurater profits fell a whopping 31% and sales fell 6%. This is taking place WHILE other internet sales venues are reporting record highs in user numbers and profits! The plain and simple fact is the honest buyers and sellers are moving to sites with fairer, friendlier and safer practices.

ebay sales are falling rapidly, while their competitors are on the rise! ebay stocks have taken a nosedive, while their competitors' continue to increase in value. Fabulous ebay users are leaving in droves, while the ebay scammers have learned how to use ebay's new policies to rob their trading partners. Dishonest sellers are using the hidden bidder policies to shill bid against honest buyers and scamming buyers are using ebay's current policies to get total refunds on items which they are allowed to keep. The site is a MESS!!! HONEST people are going elsewhere, where fairness and safe trading is valued.

Due to ex ebay CEO, Whitman & current CEO, Donahoe's "Disruptive Innovation" of ebay, ebay is no longer safe for many buyers or sellers. ebay owns Paypal and is now FORCING the majority of users to use Paypal ONLY. Paypal's amended User Policy now allows Paypal to withhold ANY users funds for up to 180 days at Paypal's "Sole Discretion"!!! There is no appeals process...Paypal is JUDGE, JURY AND EXECUTIONER!

Ebay doesn't help anyone BUT eBay. Now with Pay pal only starting in 4 days, which buy (pun intended) the way is owned by eBay is losing tons of buyers that will translate into less sellers and in the long run GREEDBAY is going down the johnny flusher.

I don't think Ebay is the main problem. It's the sellers listing things and deceiving buyers, by not accurately describing the item correctly. Sellers listing new items like posters and calling them vintage in the title. I try my best to list everything honestly and always try to mention any faults that I see on an item. If everyone did the same Ebay would return to there glory years.
