And with regard to Thursday’s 30-year auction: The market will extrapolate how that will go based on tomorrow’s 10-year results

re: Bond auction could spark real rally?

Yes let chrsyler fail, we ahve CEO's that do not know the difference between what is a gain and a loss in profiys. But they also have no intention to sell. Selling US debt for China is like destroying it's own investment since it is a large holder. No, they wont sell but they won't buy either.

The problem comes when small holders of US debt decide to sell. And when enough small holders sell, and not alot of people are buying at the same time, yeilds will go up (as is happening). That will then pressure China and larger holders to get out before it gets too bad. That is when all of this s*** hits the fan. The Fed will be put on the spot to keep yeilds down through debt monetization - essentially pinting money for the government to use. I heard that the US Gov has to sell 1.2 trillion in bonds by sept...watch out. I really hope its not going to be as bad as my worst case scenario lays out...

Futures were up 1.5% at 7:30ET. Seems like that rally thing was so much cheerleading BS for the Obama Administration. Bond sales are tanking.

So, what do we do when the Chinese won't buy our bonds? Oh wait, that's happening.

I noticed that bonds were still selling sub par. I wonder how much lower they'll go. It'll be tough when the ChiComs stop buying our debt.
