Now it's time for those ebay members, who are sick and tired of the dealing with the disaster called ebay to check out alternative sites, which offer fairer and safer online trading:

Like everyone else has said....fees are high and keep going up. I stopped selling and buying long ago because of this. You can't make any $ and most items now are not a bargain.

I am with ebid.net for another auction site pay 49.99 for lifetime membership an no fees coming or going. Unless you add extras. I agree ebay got to big for thier britches an no people are only able to take online payments. Buyers are trying to black mail sellers if youll drop the price a little I will send a Money Order you say no that you will they turn you into ebay an get your account canceled. I am done I have listings elswehere.

I think one of the more serious fee related issues, is how shipping charges are included in the fees they charge you to collect money. They are collecting money on something that is a cost to the seller. I in turn bump my shipping charges up to compensate which a) Is not good for the buyer b)Makes it harder for me to compete with shipping prices. They really do need to cut all the fluff though , and get back to basics

In retrospect, six months later, is it any better? No, it's a thousand times WORSE. John Donohoe and Lorrie Norrington have been the worst thing this company has spawned. They make you wish Meg was back in charge. The new eBay with it's non-level playing field, petty sanctions, higher fees, stupid rules, has become a JOKE.

Have had bad experiences on ebay, but it's the only DECENT AUCTION GAME IN TOWN. They have treated ME badly at times (and I am a BUYER) BUT Who else HAS THE BREADTH.

Just like Credit Card Co.'s, how hard can you gouge people? Do they teach this at Harvard? Users will tolerate ever increasing FEES just so Bosses get big bonuses.? I DON'T THINK SO.

Any finance brains out there??? Set up a good PayPal clone(some of you floundering banks/finance outfits) steal older Ebay employees, who know how to run this type of business, go to town. Submarine ebay, it WAS good, but NOW? May it R.I.P.

eBay has turned into a big brother of sorts; they make all there stupid rules and charge high fees, the one area eBay is all wrong about. The sellers who beat there brains out to get the great bargains make eBay work, its not the buyers, buyers fellows bargains, wal mart is a good example, they are the seller with the bargains and look how many buyers they have found. Not being able to leave negative feedback for the buyers. That’s must be the most stupid rule any one has ever come up with. Keep it up eBay and you will ride in to the sunset alone, going going gone

In a Nutshell...Public company that has to increase Profit year over year to keep the shareholders happy. Ebays older business model worked great as a Private co.

As a public co now.... Say goodbuy to the old Ebay. Why do you think Meg left????

Her vision was complete....as far as she could take it anyway...I see Ebay evolving into a larger amazon marketplace with more fixed price and little actual auctions. If you think about it, they cannot make revenue projections on auctions....Like they know when john doe will clean out his garage and list items for sale. Butttt....High volume Power Sellers can be tracked and charted and projections can be made and fees assed,why do you think they hit the Pwr. Sellers with the higher fees ....Thats is the money they can count on and growth needs to come from somewhere..Wait untill you see next years fee tier....
