...and what's with forcing people to have to add a credit card to buy Skype minutes when using Paypal? The company is ostracizing a massive customer base worth potential billions worldwide by excluding that margin of people who are in the bottom economic third of society, they are the most in need of having the option to make cheap calls over the internet. Ebay's new policies are crazy, they're economically suicidal. Are they against the poor? Are their latest moves politically motivated or influenced by some greater power? What gives? Meg MUST GO!

No effort is made to fight fraudulent transactions - items that are not as described and items that are counterfeit - and there is no customer service. How many complaints does Ebay receive in an average day? Last I heard, approximately 9,000. How can they possibly even attempt to address them all? I love it when a description of an item reads like this: "There is a small crack on top. Other than that, it is in mint condition." In almost all cases when there is a dispute, the seller will prevail.

I have been with eBay since the beginning....I think the increased actual cost of shipping has taken alot of fun out of eBay. Sellers are afraid of getting "stuck" with paying more shipping costs than they charged for....so they up the shipping price for the auction. I really think continued increases in postal shipping costs will be the downfall for eBay.

Maybe they should enter into a deal with UPS or FedEx??

I have sold on ebay since about 2001 but never in great quantities. It's always been a bit expensive for me, and now it becomes more so with the fee hikes. I haven't listed in quite some time now. I found out about another auction place (Loudfrog.com) where listing is free, and I assume it still is, and they take only a very small percentage of the final price. That makes it a whole lot more affordable for me for sure. Now, word just needs to get out about it to get people looking!!

I'm just a small seller and buyer. I feel like I'm in between a rock and a hard place. I can see the buyers point of view and I can see the sellers point of view.

Since ebay is lowing insertion fee's etc. But yet the raising the FVF. No sure what good that's going to do. As a seller where still be paying more fee's.

Ebay tools should be for FREE, their making enough profits off the Sellers as it is.

I bought a car through ebay and paid through paypal.Car was listed clear title.I won the auction Nov.20,2006 still no title.Paypal say's I lost the dispute.GREAT People to deal with!!!
