If Insurance Co collapse then they cant pay claims, therefore cant pay contractor or repair or hospitals or nurses/doctors, which stops economy even faster. Their stocks become $0. Their investors loose money and dont have money to spend which will halt the economy.

US is too much heavily involved with "virtual money" such as stocks... when the stocks becomes $0, everything collapses. If however alll stocks company is converted to private company, they will be on their own, and less affect on the national wealth.

Greed is the most problematic in this stocks industries.

I work 40-50 hours a week, and so does my wife. We have great jobs, and are able to support three children.. I guess what i'm getting at is that everyone should have a 3.5% mortgage rate (fixed) Money does not even cost that !! Banks will profit. Second Is that all American people should get $10,000 each.( spend it the way you want). and for all these companies looking for a handout- you'll get it when we spend are cash. and for WALL STREET, you owe me like everone else, so quit your crying and belly up.. I sure hope BO get shit straight, because Bush fell of the wagon years ago. Now for the WAR in Iraq. We Americans will be soon fighting each other if we keep spending that $$$ to blow up shit one day, and hire people to rebuild it the next day. (END THE WAR)

The way out is for us to learn how to hang on to our money, and not let it go so easily.

None of them, not even the newly elected ones. The Taxpayers are the Federal Government and State and Local Governments as well. GM needs to go down along with all the other poorly run companies! Boards of Directors beware as you have breeched your fiduciary duties. I am all for a Capitalist Society where people are paid based upon results. Great results equals’ great pay, poor results equal poor pay and NO bonus. It is complex and yet really simple. All we have lacked in our leaders is honesty and integrity. The business of running the business isn’t that complex! I’d invite comments?

Will the stockholders in all these industries finally stand up and say "NO" to excessive salaries and bonuses and "Golden Parachute" clauses. The exec at the

very top is only as good as the people below him. They make him look good or bad. Instead of giving out excessive bonuses to a few at the top, spread the wealth with profit-sharing amongst all employees.

As for the auto industry - you killed yourself. You just keep on churning out vehicles that are pricing themselves out of today's market. The time has come and

gone for the unions. We don't need all the bells and whistles you keep adding to

the vehicles and driving up prices. How can anyone today afford to buy both a

new car and a house.

When we finally hit bottom with all of this it will be time for some major changes.

In the mean time, everyone tighten your belts for the lean years to come.
