The support and promotion has just been A LOT better these days. Formula is fake baby milk. By the way, WIC promotes and supports Breasfeeding. Have you not heard of the hazards of infant formula!!!! I would not rely on WIC to provide someone with formula. Women should rely on their breasmilk to give their babies the best form of food. Go to WIC for support and questions with breasfeeding. They will help you tremendously!!!

They contain much more aluminum, manganese, cadmium, lead and iron than breastmilk. Formulas do not vary from the beginning of the feed to the end of the feed, or from day 1 to day 7 to day 30, or from woman to woman, or from baby to baby. Your breastmilk is made as required to suit your baby. Formulas are made to suit every baby, and thus no baby."

Working Pediatric nutrition I see the consequences of a formula fed society including chronic constipation (breastfeed baby's have up to four bowl movements a day), allergies, obesity, overfeeding, and many other health consequences. Many health care professional have loyalties to formula corporations and fail to adequately educate and help new mothers in breastfeeding as a result they often supplement which leads to decreased milk production and ultimately failure.

Everyone is entitled to their choice. That being said, that's not what this article is about. Bottle VS ***- that's beside the point!! This article is about the economy, and it's effect on purchasing power for a specific item at Wally World. Which I might ad, is no longer the low price leader they once were.

There was a day not so long ago that hands down Wal Mart was the cheapest for almost anything. Now, even our overpriced local grocery bohemeth beats them on most items. To each their own!

Some of us moms literally can't *****feed due to physical issues, even if that's what we would prefer to do. Stop being so judgemental about what is an intensely personal decision. You don't know all the reasons behind a woman's decision to switch to formula, so don't judge her.

Not all formula is cow's-milk-based either. My son does not tolerate cow's milk formula, so we feed him a soy-based one. Perhaps cow's milk was originally "designed" for baby cows, but it has become an important part of the human diet, not just as milk, but also in the form of cheese, yogurt, etc. Unless you have a particular ethical issue with the consumption of any animal products (in which case I wish you all the best in obtaining a healthy diet without resorting to supplements), please stop this ridiculous "cow's milk is for baby cows, human milk is for humans!"

Would you prefer that Ben and Jerry's followed PETA's advice and started making ice cream from human milk?
