We used to eat out alot, before 9-11, on a sunday, you waited in line at least 20 minutes in all our favorite restaurants, now you are seated right away. Wake up america and smell the roses we are going down the tube. Over the past year I have seen many restaurants close, and a big decline in those that are still hanging on.This author of this article is an idiot, he sounds like the politicians we have.

I've been a working mom of three and will be again. And yes, dinky, they still sell slow cookers, not just the famous Crockpots but many others. And many of us still use them. In addition to that, there are thousands of products sold in supermarkets that are fast to fix but provide the cheaper joys of eating at home. In the past thirty years, the number of these products have tripled or even quadrupled.

I see more and more people going back to the basics of life, living how they were raised with in-home meals, sitting out on the porch in the evening, hanging clothes out to dry on a clothes line, and such.

And there's more to come. If winter energy bills come even close to predictions, no one will be able to afford to dine out and more people will be eating their beans wearing a sweater.

We are living in the recession now and we are soon going to collapse into an inflationary depression. Sorry but it's time to accept the truth which is right under your nose but so many of you are either unwilling to smell the odor, can only faintly sense it, or are in complete denial though it's a pungent overwhelming stench.

I was told once a very long time ago by an old woman that the restaurants still did well even during the depression because people still eat out and go to the movies.

Some forms of entertainment won't change but others will. The dumb, wasteful concept restaurants will fail and the better ones with good food won't, it's as simple as that. The fat will be trimmed all around.

I think much better advice is to do the opposite of what this payed denier is espousing, DO stock up on bottled water and storable food, DO buy a weapon and learn how to use it and DON'T just put on your blinders and ear plugs, go into a trance like coma in front of the TV and salve your worries stuffing your face.

Just because a fact is ignored does not mean it ceases to exist.
