Michael Moore's 'Capitalism"

Image credit: Prognosic, GNU free documentation licenseMichael Moore has released a new trailer for his "Capitalism: A Love Story." I can't wait for a good movie documenting the meltdown of the American financial system. It would be the ultimate disaster flick, no?

That said, after watching the preview (below) I'm not sure this movie is going to be the one. There are too many cutesy jokes and too many publicity gimmicks, like Moore trying to arrest the board of American International Group (AIG).

Maybe humor is the only way to get people into theaters to watch the sordid tale of how their money got swept away. Anything more serious -- like one of the excellent "Frontline" specials on the subject, for example -- wouldn't bring in the audience numbers that Moore is after.

I don't have any hope that the upcoming "Wall Street" sequel will do the subject justice either. Maybe James Cameron can reshoot some scenes from "Titanic." The U.S. economy heading for a huge crash, and no one steering the ship had any clue? I can see it now.

Moore is a sanctimonious twit. Why does anyone care what this fool thinks? Moore and that other no-talent microbrain Spurlock should get together and form a mutual admiration society. The resulting mini black hole will probably destroy the Earth, but not for at least 2400 years.

If I want to hear uninformed and clueless ramblings about the economy, capitalism, etc. I can get them at no cost at the office, corner coffee shop, or wherever.  Why pay good money for Moore's tiresome shtick?  The only bit of enlightenment that Moore has ever provided is his demonstration of how easily the snarky left in the USA can be fleeced with faux "documentaries."

Moore is such a clueless joke.  The funniest thing was when a video was done by a journalist who was trying to get Moore on camera to talk with him.  No matter what the journalist did, Moore evaded him.  Moore even had the journalist chased off his property.  It smacked perfectly as a repeat of Moore's first clueless movie about GM, except this time Moore was the one who would not talk.
