Of course, it also creates a false sense of security in that it makes identity theft seem so commonplace - why would anyone pick on me?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My credit card number was stolen by a local store employee - apparently he thought I paid my credit card bill without reading it. The charges were small - but the police thought he was just testing the card out to see if I was paying attention - before going for bigger purchases. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor - so it won&amp;#39;t even impact his ability to get a job and access to other numbers.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="http://blogs.moneycentral.msn.com/aggbug.aspx?PostID=50665" width="1" height="1"&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
