&lt;p&gt;Parents gave in, (they admitted it), the child learned from his early days how to get what he wants. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The child learned that when you say no it means maybe later. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You made excuses as to why take him. You said no, but in reality you didn&amp;#39;t have a reason good enough to say yes. You waited until a logical sequence came up causing you to give in. The rest of what happened at the store was coincidental and in your favor. You should want your child to succeed the first time and not from their mistakes. Make improvements not excuses.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Later he will try his ways of dealing with request on other authority figures and money lost will not be the issue. ie. Getting in trouble in school. Instead &amp;nbsp;teach respect, and responsibility for starters.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Dogs learn by conditioning, people learn by reasoning when being nurtured with love.&lt;/p&gt;
