And the real truth is if they don't let people on the plane with more than carry on they can get more frieght which takes up most of the space down there. But if you try to wear more clothes than you need they don't like that either.

Go sit down with someone and have them explain the difference between clever and smart. I imagine you're one of those people who claim the world's population is shrinking because we all had 2 parents, 4 grand-parents, 8 great grand-parents etc. You embarrass me, and I don't even know you!

re: Airline fees are more confusing than ever

I am sick and tired of people complaining about the extra fees, they say just tell them upfront. If they are like that go directly to the website of the airline you want to fly and they will tell exactly how much the ticket cost + taxes + xtra fees which you may incur during your travel. If you dont like all the fees just pay the full price of the ticket which is 3 times the cost of ticket you are planning to buy.

I am not an airline employee but I understand how business works. Watch the special on CNBC about American Airlines and you would understand how the airline makes money or no money on many flights.

Everybody wants a cheaper ticket, and want a excellent service. You get what you pay for. If you paid full refundable price for a ticket then there is no xtra fee for anything, they will change your seat, change the flight even cancel without any fee and you will get 2 bags free... but nobody can afford that as it is 3 times the cheap fair, so if u do the maths properly the total additional cost for 2 bags = 30$ preferred seating 15$ and and change fees 150$ and the total comes to 200$ and the cheaper cost of most flights is 250$ + 200 $ which is 450$ which is still cheaper than the person paying the full amount of the ticket. So dont complain about these things, if you want to fly u should know that u can easily take 2 days worth of cloths in your carry on luggage, but if you are going for more than those days pay a little xtra and check in those bags.

People complain about missing bags, the reason for that is due to less layover time between flights, if the flight reaches just 30-45 min before the next flight it is very hard for the people on runway to get your luggage to appropriate flight. you should check for the layover time and should plan accordingly. Flights tend to be late not bcaz the pilot or the airline njoy to annoy passenger, it is due to unforseen incidents which they dont have control over.

The people who work in airline industry are just like us and they would love to help but they are not in a position as we are trying to fly cheaper and cheaper and want great deals so that we can save more money, thats greed on our part.

I dont agree with fees about checked in baggage, but I do plan my trip properly and I dont mind paying just 15$ for luggage if I am carrying that much amount of luggage. Most people would pay the same amount of money as I did and if they are not bringing the checked in luggage why should they pay more money for the ticket, same is the case for drinks and snacks on the plane, if u need one pay for one.

Flying is a privilege, and flying cheap is like a nice icing on the cake... so stop complaining and njoy it and plan accordingly. Most of the complaints wont be there in the first place if you read carefully all the terms and conditions and plan accordingl

People are just prone to complaining. You'll sit for 6 hours for the cable guy, but complain when you plane lands 10 minutes late! I always say I'd rather show up late than dead. Charging for luggage has forced fliers to think more carefully about what they carry. Less checked bags=less weight on the plane=less fuel burned=a cheaper ticket. It also aides in getting the aircraft loaded and in the air, which is the only place they make money.
