oh Phleease... and yet, I had a dr put infected mesh in me and the resulting problems took almost 4 years to find... to late to file suit. mega $$$ on new dr's and hospitals not to mention depression from the resulting problems the 1st dr caused.. but we can file suit on a company because we the consumer scratched it? how insane is that?

This happened a few years ago with Netflix. Someone file a frivilous lawsuit over not getting their movies within one day. I refused to benefit from that settlement. I felt it was stupid, just like this one. They make scratch resistant covers for iPods, use it.

And the big winner of the lawsuit....the damn lawyers. I mean really the consumer who really felt like they got the short end of the stick because there ipod scratches get $25 (not really worth it) but I wonder what those bastards (lawyers) got of the settlement.

Frankly I think that people suing for any stupid little thing has in some way contributed to the economy being the way it is.

For the life of me, I can't understand why someone is and is allowed to sue a company because its product get scratched!!!. American laws allow this type of behaviors and this is a typical nonsense that needs to be addressed. When anybody can write a check to themselves it is the beginning of the end of a society.

NOBODY FILE A CLAIM!!!...With the economy the way that it is if NOBODY files a claim the money will got to charity. What a beautiful way to help those less fortunate in these economic times!!! It can go to shelters for the homeless, soup kitchens for those struggling to eat a decent meal ect. Do the right thing people and let the money do some REAL GOOD!!! Help your neighbor!!! After all....its not like this i-Pod Nano didnt function now is it?
