How do you seal with powdered milk? I've been looking into adobe construction recently.

I have used p-milk for many years to seal concrete, including leaking foundations,cmu , and grout joints. I found this from an old fellow using it to seal adobe bricks, he told me it would provide a 100 year seal.

you can make evaporated milk , the kid used in pumpkin pie mix that you need 2 cans of...Evaporated Milk is made by removing some of the liquid. well, crumbs, it just left my head how you do it, but it has to do with simply not adding as much water. If you happen to stumble across this, or if i can find it i'll let you know. what a brainiac, sorry about that. The end results are extremely yummy, though...

My Mother of 89 years has used powdered milk ever since I can remember and she makes the best bread, bannana bread, rice pudding, etc, that I have ever tasted. Getting the portions right is the key. It is expensive to start but lasts a long time. I'm glad to know the new reciepies also. Connie Stewart ( Idaho).

One more use for powdered milk. Substitute it for half of the sugar in your cookie recipes for a healthier product with more protein. You can't taste the difference. Use the dry powdered milk to replace the sugar.

Don't usually respond to things I read, but this article reminded me of uses for milk powder that I had forgotten about.

Enjoyed the article...good memory jog and also very informative.

F.Y.I. Using milk to repair cracked china works and as for cleaning leaves on houseplants with milk, it makes them shine. :-)

My mom began using it the year of Chicago's big snow in the '60's and I have kept powdered milk in the house for all of my adult life. Pour it into a zip-lock bag and put into a Tupperware container and it will keep until you need it. I gave it to my children (now 33 and 35) when they went off of formula and their pediatrician told me it was more healthy for them than cow's milk. They both are healthy and have great teeth. I make the homemade cocoa mix and give it as gifts at Christmas - the receivers love it!

Some bulk food suppliers sell a2 quart pitcher with a specially designed plunger that mixes milk powder in a snap. I get mine from a place called Azure Standard. These are terriffic tips!

i've been loving powdered milk around the house because my finacee and i hardly use milk at all - we drink rice milk. so, when i do need milk for a recipe (or instant pudding!), i only need 1T-2C. then the rest of the milk goes sour and gets thrown away. now, no more problem! excellent.
