I am concerned about that island of plastic in the ocean twice the size of Texas.. yet all the stores are selling crappy little plastic toys and crap we dont need.... I wish the stores would be more environmentally cautious instead of worrying about the almighty dollar. What messages are we sending to our kids.. and yes that means you women aka moms who have to have the latest handbag and shoes...possessions dont make you a better person...in the eyes of a person who knows what true happiness is.. youre looking rather sad!

I've noticed that I never use a lot of the things I own except maybe once a year. Part of our problem as a society is this sentimental attachment to objects. We feel so guilty if we give away Grandma's sofa to a charity or sell it at a yard sale. I look at it this way: You can't keep everything you come across and your relatives are dead, so they won't know either way.
