Free haircuts if you buy their shampoo

Do you ever wonder why your hair grows so darned fast?

We do, and we know that the most frugal approach to this problem is to have an in-house hair cutter. However, all it takes is one bad haircut to disavow one from this approach. (Ours came at the hands of a sister many years ago.)

So, what’s a gal or guy to do? Herbal Essences to the rescue. If you buy their products, they’ll pay for the haircut.

But you’d better not have your bangs down in your eyes because it will take some time to get this deal.

Here’s what you have to do: Buy two of the specially marked bottles with a green sticker on the front that advertises the free haircut. (These are from the new “Hydralicious” collection.) Then visit this TLC Marketing site, enter the UPC codes from the bottles, print your redemption form and mail it, along with the original receipts, by June 30.

You’ll receive your beauty treatment voucher by mail in four to six weeks, according to TLC Marketing. But don’t expect to take it to your favorite stylist. The Web site explains that those who qualify will be given access to another Web site that lists venues where vouchers can be redeemed.

Big question: What if there is not a participating salon within 30 miles of home? This was answered in FAQs, a section of the site we suggest you read before all others. The answer: Contact the “concierge service” by calling the phone number listed on your voucher and “alternative arrangements will be made with you.”

One more question: How long do we have? All vouchers expire July 31, 2010.

The site says they expire July 31 2010.  These writers really should do more research.

Ladies, from a male perspective, PLEASE don't cut your own hair. My wife has done it for years and I gave up trying to convince her that she needed to go to a stylist. You cannot cut your own hair properly unless you are giving yourself a buzz cut.

Find someone you like to cut your hair even if it takes a couple of bad haircuts. A woman with nice hair is always hotter than one with a bad haircut they gave themselves.

Am I the only one that has noticed that July 31st is less than 6 weeks after June 30th?  If you snooze you definitely will loose.

The site says the cut-off date is July 31, 2010... nice reporting

Just FYI:  I looked at the FAQ section of the Herbal Essences site, and vouchers expire July 31, 2010, not 2009.

I'm glad we've had this discussion--It takes my mind off of the rest of the world, and reinforces MY belief that how my hair looks is really the only thing that matters, my sisters!
