The best part of Baby Cheapskate's excellent post for mothers-to-be is get stuff for free. If you didn't know, that's synonymous with "baby shower." Don't hesitate to tell guests to bring things you can use. "A case of diapers (or five) may not be as cute as a tiny pink dress, buy you'll be glad later to have the diapers," Angie writes. She provides seven money-saving tips for getting baby necessities at the lowest cost, and lots of links to help you do that.

As every frugal person knows, the first step is to separate needs from wants. Then go after the needs with gusto. Once you've figured out the basics -- diapers and wipes are high on that list -- research what they should cost and then set a target of 20% off. If you shop well, you'll never spend more than 2 cents per wipe. Angie also explains how to set up a gift registry, find secondhand baby things, and sign up for coupons. "And clothing?" she writes. "People will buy you lots. Trust me."

I'm a big fan of Baby Cheapskate and wanted to tell everyone that it is also a great place for moms of toddlers to find out about great coupons and deals.
